If you would like to become a member of the National College Student and Alumni Guild, please follow the steps detailed below to apply and add your entry to the therapists' directory.
***PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU USE INTERNET EXPLORER AS YOUR BROWSER YOU MAY HAVE TROUBLE ADDING YOUR ENTRY. THIS IS TO DO WITH A FAULT (ONE OF MANY!) IN INTERNET EXPLORER. IT ONLY TAKES A FEW MOMENTS TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL GOOGLE CHROME OR MOZILLA FIREFOX BOTH OF WHICH WORK PERFECTLY AND ARE MORE SECURE...***
All applications must be approved and paid for before any details will be published in the Directory.
1First REGISTER with the site - click the link here for instructions
2Once registered, LOG IN with your username and password, and then go to the THERAPIST DIRECTORY page.
3Click on the "Add entry" link at the top of the page:

4This should take you to a page to enter your details:

If you are using INTERNET EXPLORER and get a message saying you cannot access the page please see the notice above about installing Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox instead
Starred items * are required. Those without stars are optional.
Accurate address details are needed for the Google map pin to appear in the correct location. Often putting the name of the specific area, town or village proves more accurate than naming the city as you might in a postal address. Once your entry is published you will need to check that the pin appears in the correct spot, and slight changes in the details may be needed.
The country should be set to UK as Google maps will not work without it.
Once you have completed your address details click the "Fetch coordinates" button.

Your grade will be confirmed during the approval process.
5Some items have tips to help you provide the correct information - hold your mouse over the blue circle and the text will appear.

You will be asked to provide the name of your supervisor and details of your insurance cover, but these are for NCSAG use only and will not be published on the website.
6In the "Description" box you can give details of the services you offer, your particular approach and philosophy, qualifications and training etc. Please bear in mind the ethical requirements for advertising, that "professional notices of therapists shall be kept to a dignified wording and... be brought to public notice in a dignified manner."

Be aware that if you take too long to enter your details in the form, the system may log you out and lose your text when you press the save button. To prevent this happening, write your text in advance and paste it over. (To prevent conflicting formatting it is best to paste the text from Word into Notepad which removes hidden code, and then paste from there into the Description box.)
7You can add two images to your entry. The logo should be 80 x 80 pixels and will appear on the initial card, and the image should be no more than 350 x 350 pixels.

To upload images click the Browse button, find the image on your PC, select and when you save they will be uploaded.
8Add some keywords that reflect your services, and a sentence for Google to index.

9At the moment entries are not divided into categories, but you still need to select a category by clicking on it, then clicking the >>> button on the right to add your entry. (see diagrams)

10 Nearly done... Now just put a tick in the box to show you agree to the Terms and Conditions of the site - then just click on the SEND button to the right.

11 You will be offered the option to pay the full membership fee at once with Paypal (which will mean your directory entry is published more rapidly) or to receive bank details to set up a monthly direct debit (your entry will be published once payment is processed in 2-3 weeks)
Congratulations! You have now added your details to the NCSAG Therapist Directory.
Once your entry is approved and published you can edit it at any point by logging in and clicking on the EDIT button which you will see on your card listing when you are logged in. This gives you access to the full entry/edit screen where you can change your details as often as you please.
