Ron Eslinger, CAPT, USN, Retired, is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Board Certified Hypnotist and a Certified Master Instructor through the NGH. He graduated from nursing School in 1970, Nurse Anesthesia training in 1974 at the University of Tennessee, BS degree in Professional Arts from Saint Joseph College in Wenham, Maine, and his Masters Degree from the Naval War College, Newport, RI, in National Security and Strategic Studies. He took his first hypnotism workshop in 1978. His formal training in hypnotism was with such greats as Harry Arons, Louis McCoy, Agustin Hernandez, Jr., Dr. John Chavis, MD, Alphones Tatarunis, Ed.D, Larry Goldman, MD, Judy Lash, Psy.D, Marc Oster, Michael Yapko, Joseph Barber, and Belleruth Naparstek. He received his Certified Instructor credentials from Richard Harte in 1999. He was chosen as Instructor of the Month 2003 by NGH, NGH Researcher of the year 2003, received the Ormond McGill Chair by being voted Presenter of the Year 2004 and Order of the Braid 2005. He lectures extensively to National nursing and medical associations such as the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses on hypnotism as an adjunct to childbirth, the American Association of Ambulatory Surgical Centers, the American Association of Nurse Managers, the Nurse Anesthesiology Faculty Association, the Frank Moya Annual Nurse Anesthesia Review Course and the Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency on Hypnosis on the Battle Field and over 20 State Nurse Association. Ron is Past President of the Virginia Association of Nurse Anesthetists, Current President Elect Tennessee Nurse Association D-2. He is owner of Healthy Visions Wellness Center, Oak Ridge, Tennessee where he teaches NGH Certification and NGH Certified Instructor courses.
